I'm Feeling Great in Montana! Hello there! I'm thrilled to introduce myself to you. My journey began in 1977 when I embarked on a daring adventure moving from Seattle, Washington to the enchanting landscapes of Whitefish, Montana, at the tender age of 10. The breathtaking mountains and the allure of snow instantly captured my heart. Growing up amidst the beauty of the Mt. Baker area, my fondness for hiking, camping, and the great outdoors flourished, solidifying my connection to Whitefish.
From the very beginning, skiing became more than a pastime; it transformed into an integral part of my life, a necessary exhilaration that I continue to embrace. The call of Glacier National Park in both summer and winter resonates deeply with me, inviting me to savor every facet it has to offer.
My path has been diverse, leading me through a myriad of experiences across the United States and Slovakia. Prior to my Slovakian sojourn in 2005, I honed my teaching skills and earned my tesol/tefl certification, imparting English knowledge in the charming city of Bratislava. But even before this, my life took an intriguing turn. A decade spent as a commercial fisherman, primarily during crab season, on the Pribilof Islands, 285 miles northeast of Unalaska, marked a unique chapter. This adventure kept me away from skiing, the longest hiatus I'd ever endured.
Post-crab season, Glacier National Park beckoned me, and I spent several summers contributing to its magic. Over eight seasons, I served in various roles, from a waiter at Lake McDonald Lodge and Many Glacier Hotel, to a houseman and kitchen worker at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn. These experiences ignited my love for people and propelled me towards dedicating my life to the service industry from 2000 onwards.
Now, I stand proudly as a Realtor, eagerly aspiring to help others create their own Montana stories. With nearly 46 years of Montana living under my belt, I am well-acquainted with the unmatched beauty and captivating lifestyle this state has to offer. My passion for this place runs deep, and I am committed to sharing its charm with those seeking their own version of Montana bliss.
Outside of work, my heart belongs to various pursuits. Skiing, soccer, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and strumming the guitar fill my free moments. I happily pass on my soccer knowledge to the young talents of Whitefish Rapids aged 8-10, as well as to those new to the sport. Volunteering is my way of giving back to the community that has anchored me. My roots are firmly planted here, and I look forward to spending my days in this welcoming corner of the world.
Amidst all these passions, my greatest joy comes from sharing life with my 14-year-old son and my spirited 2-year-old rot/lab/collie mix, Odin. These companions hold a special place in my heart that even skiing can't overshadow. Together, we create a symphony of joy and contentment that fuels my purpose and inspires me every day.
