Lance was born in Ohio but spent much of his childhood in Florida. His early career in the scuba diving magazine publishing business could not outweigh his love for being in the mountains. Annual ski trips to Colorado eventually landed him in Vail. The opportunity to run the local paper, the Flathead Beacon, lured Lance and his wife, Melissa, along with their four children, to the Flathead valley in 2009.
Originally thinking the move to Montana might only be a couple year adventure quickly changed as he and the family fell in love with Northwest Montana. After a few years exploring the valley they settled in Lakeside with the help of fellow PureWest agent, David Fetveit. This home search led to the filming of the HGTV pilot episode of Log Cabin Living and sparked Lances interest in real estate.
Lances appreciation of the local community and desire to continually make our valley better is shown through his involvement with several local non-profit organizations. His service on the board of directors of these organizations has allowed him to make many genuine and personal, connections throughout the entire valley. He is the past interim executive director and current board president for the Glacier Institute. Others include the Samaritan House homeless shelter, North Valley Hospital Foundation, Glacier AERO and the Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce just to name a few.
Lance is thankful to have the opportunity to live in Montana and eager to share with others what the mountain lifestyle has to offer.
