I am a native North Carolinian! I was born in Winston-Salem and graduated from RJR High School. I attended Meredith College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and have lived in Raleigh since 2000. Having attended college here and having lived here over 22 years, I definitely know the area.

I know the greenways because I've run or biked them. I know the best local restaurants because I go there (sometimes with my clients!) and I post about it on my Instagram page. (Catherinebaldwinrealty). I am always out and about...because I love Raleigh.

Here's some personal stuff about me. (You can skip this and get to the business stuff, if you want :) Around age 12 I realized I was "aquatically" gifted. Since age 18 I have been teaching people to swim. This is a passion; something that I do, not for the money, but for the sheer joy of it. Today I teach adults to swim. I call them "bucket listers and breathers". it's fun and is satisfying work.

While I was a stay-at-home mom I worked part-time at a local wellness center teaching swim and aerobics classes. I translated indoor cycle and swim skills into Triathlon competitions. Over a decade I completed 40+ triathlons. Some were fun relays with friends and family. Most were me, on my own, slugging it out to the finish line. I did not win every race but I did place in more than a few. It was fun but my knees have had it. (I can still check out the crawl space, so don't count me out!) I share this because I think it takes a special kind of person to put themselves through the unique suffering it takes to train in 3 sports in one race. Maybe you agree. I learned a lot about myself. Good stuff. ahhh well, on with the bio.

Why do I do what I do? I help people buy / sell their largest asset: the place they call home. I help people build generational wealth. First home. Sell that and move up. Sell that and move to the beach or mountains. Or buy and investment property and rent for passive income. It excites me :) It's pretty amazing stuff! I truly enjoy coaching buyers to find the right house.

Each Buyer may have gone through this process once or twice in their lives. Or maybe they have NEVER bought a house before. This is where I shine! I have done this 80+ times. If you had run 80 marathons, I would hire you to be my coach. See what I mean?

For sellers, I am hands-on with helping them get their homes ready for market. No two sellers are the same. Some need extra help sorting through their possessions. (I will not call it clutter.) I am resourceful for this. I then uniquely aid the process (see my "I'M BUSY" package below), so it flows seamlessly through to a closing. Every transaction has something a little different about it. Each seller might need something different. That's what keeps it interesting. And I am not on a team because I think you lose that 1:1 connection with your client. I can flex quicker than a team.

What makes all of this fun is getting to know the people. I think what makes me different is that you are not just a transaction; you, as a person, matter to me. And I care. I have sold my own home and moved recently. So I can totally relate to what a seller goes through! It took me 6 weeks to clear out 18 years of stuff. So, I get it.

One thing I do to differentiate myself is I offer the "I'm Busy" package. This is for the seller who works long hours, travels, does not have a family/ partner/significant other to help with the move prep. I go the extra mile for this type of seller. You may be very busy but I'm not too busy and I can HELP you get this done! Ask me about the helpful features in this package.

Those who have worked with me in the past send me their friends and family. That is the most wonderful way to work, I have to tell you. It is GOLD! WHY? Because it says to me, this person knows me. They trust me enough to stake their friendship or reputation on it. You know how this is... A friend will say..."I need a new ____." And you say, "Oh mine is wonderful, here....let me give you their number." And just like that you have helped your friend. That's how it is for me, too.

I do go above and beyond for my people. I will do things for my buyers and sellers that other Realtors simply don't have time for. Or maybe they feel it is out of their scope of work. I give practical help. My fellow agents are wonderful people; some may have family priorities or time boundaries/limitations that prevent them from being able to do what I do.
