Shane grew up in Morganton and lived most of his childhood in the Morganton and Glen Alpine communities where many in his family still reside; after graduating from Appalachian in 1995 he returned to Burke County. Shane now resides in Valdese where he and his wife are raising their 4 kids.

Shane is a member of Thrive Church - Morganton and is very active with many of their programs; Shane has the Council of Residential Specialists designation (CRS); along with the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES); During his free time Shane enjoys spending time with family and friends boating on Lake James, traveling and enjoying watching Appalachian State University football, preferably from the Stands.
