Garysburg is a small village in Northampton County, North Carolina, with a population of approximately 1,000 people. The village was incorporated in 1873 and was named after The Reverend R. H. Gary, a local planter and Baptist minister. Garysburg is known for being a transportation hub due to its location near major highways and railroads.
