Chase County, located in the great state of Nebraska, was officially established on February 27, 1873. The county was named in honor of Champion S. Chase, who was the first mayor of Omaha and served as the Nebraska Attorney General at the time. The county has a rich history of agricultural pursuits, with ample fertile land and abundant resources fueling its growth and development. The county seat is Imperial, which was founded by Thomas Mercier in 1879 and named after the Imperial Stock Ranch owned by Charles Mathews, one of the early settlers in the area.

One interesting fact about Chase County is that it boasts a rare geological feature known as the "Little Grand Canyon of the Platte." Also known as the Imperial Wildlife Management Area, this canyon is located along the Frenchman Creek and provides a striking natural attraction in the region. Visitors can explore the canyon's rugged beauty by hiking, bird-watching, and enjoying the serenity of the landscape that adds to the allure of this region in the USA.
