From a young age, Max Cruz has held a great deal of respect for the real estate profession. His father began working in the industry in 1997, and it was during those years that Max first became attracted to the variety, range of opportunities, and always-changing nature of real estate. Today, Max not only represents clients wishing to buy or sell in South Florida and Massachusetts, but also considers himself a specialist in buying, rehabbing, and re-selling underperforming properties. My work ethic is the key to why people work with me, says Max. This is often the biggest investment of a persons lifetime, and they need and deserve nothing less than genuine professional guidance throughout the process.
Max was born in Moscow, and spent his early childhood in Russia before moving to Massachusetts when he was 10 years old. He remained there through college living in Boston while earning his Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology, and then in Haverhill while working with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management. In 2013, he founded a General Construction company with a partner, and began combining his knowledge and skill in architecture and building with his love for real estate. During that time, Max and his wife purchased a fire-damaged home with the intention of flipping it. Negotiations with the previous owner and with the city, plus permitting, financing and construction were all very complex and taught Max the value of having a good team together and how to assemble one that can anticipate problems before they start. Its a concept he still uses today.
In real estate its especially important to have a good, qualified team around you to serve clients better. Im definitely a team leader, but Im also ready and willing to consider other opinions that help accomplish goals faster or more efficiently.
Like many people who come to Miami from colder climates, Max loves the weather in South Florida. He also is very drawn to the people and culture of the city with so much going on and the possibility to do something new or meet someone new any day of the week. In the Miami real estate world, Max focuses his efforts on multi-unit properties and single family homes in Aventura, Brickell, Coral Gables, Downtown, Edgewater, Miami Beach, and Wynwood. He also offers clients the benefit of his construction expertise when it comes to making property improvements that may enhance sales prices.
In his personal life, Max enjoys cycling, traveling, and walks at sunset with his wife, Leticia and their two dogs, Simba and Mufasa. He also spends time staying in touch with his large extended. Whenever he can, he likes to take advantage of new learning opportunities and chances to network with other professionals from all walks of life.
Max is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian.
