1. Woodsville is the largest village in Grafton County, with a population of 1,721 as of the 2010 census.
2. The village is located on the Connecticut River and is home to the Woodsville-Wells River Bridge, which is the longest covered bridge in New Hampshire.
3. The village was incorporated in 1832 and was named after its first settler, Captain John Wood.
4. The village is home to the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank, which is the oldest savings bank in New Hampshire and one of the oldest in the United States.
5. In 1887, the Woodsville High School was founded and is still in operation today.
6. The village is home to several historic buildings, including the 1892 Woodsville Opera House and the 1845 St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County Railroad Depot.
