Hoboken was home for over 15 years and making the decision to leave wasnt an easy one! I loved the hustle and bustle, the proximity to the city, the ease of picking up groceries or dry cleaning, of meeting friends for dinner, of jogging Pier A, and eventually of taking my young children to the playground and music classes. At some points, I was certain I would never leave this lively town: It has the best of both! I always said: the hustle and bustle of the city as well as that small-town feel. And then it happened: I met up with friends in Westfield for the downtown Spring Fling. We walked and walked and I was amazed at the downtown of this suburb: it reminded me of Hoboken, I even found myself waving hello to lots of people I recognized from around Hoboken. I ventured around town, even returned the next weekend to drive up and town the gorgeous tree-lined streets. I was in love! THIS was the best of both! In Westfield I discovered a good commute to the city, that hustle-bustle I loved, amazing schools, playgrounds, an extraordinary sense of community and pride for this hometown. Moving from Hoboken to Westfield was exciting but scary, I was eager but overwhelmed, I was enthusiastic but hesitant. I understand the decision and the process, and now I am here to help others make that same transition!
