A community leader, Sharon is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and member of Taos Milagro Rotary, a member of Rotary International, Taos Chamber of Commerce and its Taos Entrepreneurial Network. She sponsors Taos Center for the Arts, is a member of Women Give Taos, and sits on the boards of Dream Tree Project and Millicent Rogers Museum.
Sharons professional experience includes the establishment of a contract office and home furnishings dealership in Dallas, Texas which for 15 years offered product sales, interior design, space planning and installation services to a diverse customer base ranging from individuals and small professional offices to government contracts and corporate accounts throughout the United States. Prior to this, Sharon worked in newspaper marketing and circulation management with The Dallas Times Herald, a property of Times Mirror Corporation.
A native Dallasite, Sharon visited northern New Mexico frequently since childhood, returning often with her two children. She is a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas and Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Having resided in Paris, France, she is fluent in the French language and continues to learn Spanish. Sharon is a skier, dancer, welder, and artist who enjoys comedy, music, travel, and hiking the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with her best Welsh Terrier friend, Brychan.
