I am a California transplant, a rarity on the East coast. I moved to New York City after completing my Masters in Fine Arts. I had been used to spending hours riding my bike on the Pacific coastline, taking long walks on the beach and hiking trails in the redwood forests. I know that sounds like a Pete Seeger song; it is no coincidence that Pete made his home along the Hudson River near the Catskill mountains. I too have found a spiritual home here. In 2008 we purchased a vacation home at Windham Mountain. Our family loved to ski and Windham offered all the amenities we were looking for; a beautiful town, a short commute and a community that welcomed families. We were not disappointed. After 10 years and now an empty nest, I have chosen to make Windham my full time home. I like to explore each season throughout the region, whether its skiing, hiking, dining, world class jazz, modern dance or Art. Let me share my enthusiasm, if you are on the fence about Windham I will win you over.
