East Syracuse is a village located in Onondaga County, New York. It is a suburb of Syracuse, and is situated just east of the city. The village was incorporated in 1881, and has a population of around 3,000 people. The village is known for being home to the headquarters of Carrier Corporation, a leading manufacturer of air conditioning systems, and for hosting the annual Syracuse Nationals car show, one of the largest classic car shows in the Northeast. Additionally, East Syracuse is home to several parks and recreational facilities, including Green Lakes State Park, which features two glacial lakes and hiking trails, and Erie Canal Park, which offers walking paths and historical exhibits related to the Erie Canal.
