Their Life Beyond New York City: Originally from THE BIG APPLE Joanne & Eddie Callahan fell in love with The Catskills and quickly became TOP PRODUCING AGENTS with a variety of agencies in the Delhi & Oneonta areas. They did so well that they decided to open their own agency Callahan Catskill Real Estate in Andes NY (Their Adopted Hometown) in June of 2015. While listing/selling properties throughout the Catskills and beyond is her utmost priority, Joanne a former Broadway dancer & actress enjoys performing & producing standup comedy throughout the Catskill region. She is a certified fitness professional/trainer & still teaches private Pilates classes at her studio in Andes. She stays involved with her first passion of dance by choreographing for local schools. Joanne also actively volunteers for the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society in Delhi NY. Ever the continuing education seeker she holds the designations of ABR, ASP, SRS, CNE, GRI. Her husband Eddie Callahan recently passed away at the age of 55 on January 3, 2016, he was the hunting land specialist, and the second part of "Team Callahan". He served on the Andes Town Planning Board and will forever be the King of Katskill Karaoke. He danced a mean jitterbug too! Eddie retired from NYPD after being a first responder to the 9/11 attack in NYC which ultimately lead to his early death. He delighted in the simplicity and tranquility of his new Catskill home. He loved their Green Acres Life which includes 3 goats, 2 miniature donkeys, 8 hens, 2 roosters, 9 dogs and 10 cats. They opt to adopt 7 of their dogs and all of their cats have been adopted through The Heart of The Catskills Humane Society in Delhi NY. Eddie & Joanne were always "Dedicated to Giving Excellent Service to all their Clients & Customers", Joanne will carry on enthusiastically with their business, because that's what Eddie would want. Callahan means "Protector", Joanne will continue to protect and serve her clients & customers in her husband's name wholeheartedly embracing the opportunity.
