In all my jobs, I have been able to combine a love of home and place with a devotion to helping others, traits that suit me in my work with Howard Hanna.I bring a wide range of skills to my real estate practice. Negotiation and creative problem-solving have been key to my success as the mother of four. I learned to interview and listen as a young journalist in San Francisco, Caracas (Venezuela) and in Ann Arbor, and honed those skills later when I studied to be a spiritual director. I was trained in mediation and community building in the job of Community Aide at University of Michigan's Family Housing, which translated well in the work of a community development planner for the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency. Community networking and advocacy are essential to the many volunteer positions Ive held, especially as past-president of the Belle Sherman Elementary School PTA, and now as a member of the Board of Directors of Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services.When Im not selling property, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends running, hiking, biking and sailing around the Finger Lakes, swimming in the gorges, and telling stories. My husband Jim is a librarian at Cornell's Mann Library. I have four graduates of the Ithaca City School District (3 from IHS, 1 from LACS). As a family we are active members of St. Catherine of Siena parish. While part of my heart may still be in my native San Francisco, Im proud to call the Finger Lakes home. Ithaca is a great place to live, work and raise a family. In every corner Ive found incredibly supportive networks that make a busy life so much more manageable.
