I honed my skills in pre-MLS Park Slope, Brooklyn. We selling agents did everything in the late 90s, working with all parties on both sides of the transaction from appraisers and inspectors and keeping tabs regularly with both lawyers. I was a bulldog when it came to seeing an accepted offer through contract to closing, and I received many thanks from client sellers and customer buyers - there were no other agents involved. Actually, however, I prefer today's model where I am and can truly feel fully dedicated to my client's concerns exclusively, whether as a listing agent or buyer's agent. And I am so happy to be working in the country now! When first up here, I worked in the "back end" of the industry, in administrative and compliance control, and also as an advertising manager at one point. Now that I am in the "front end" selling again, it is helpful to have the industry standards background. I have pretty much covered all bases in residential sales...
