Real estate has always been intriguing to me. Even growing up, I can remember looking out the window of Mom and Dad's car at the beautiful buildings and properties, admiring everything that goes into it. I was always told to follow my passion, so pursuing a career in the industry was the logical choice, right?
I grew up about 20-30 minutes north of Syracuse in a small town called West Monroe. I love it up there. So quiet and relaxing, but not too far away from nearby attractions. I went to Central Square high school before attending Syracuse University. As a major in both finance and real estate, I had many options. Investment banking on Wall Street? Great idea, not for me though. What about move to a large city for real estate? Eh, maybe someday, but I'm a home body. I honestly didn't know what to do until my last semester of college when my professor of real estate development approached me about this new company he was starting, Acropolis Development (I must've been his best student). A brand new company ran by an industry expert, with years of experience and knowledgeable enough to teach it at a nationally ranked University? I was all over that opportunity.
While at Syracuse, I also worked as a plumber for the largest mechanical contracting company in the area part-time for 4 years. Additionally, I had 2 commercial real estate internships with Pyramid Companies and Bell Group.
So here I am. A small town kid, plumber, and real estate professional!
