West Winfield is a small village with a population of approximately 826 people, according to the 2010 census. It is located in the northern part of Herkimer County and is part of the town of Winfield. The village was originally settled in the late 1700s and incorporated in 1903. Today, it is a rural community with a few small businesses, a library, a park, and a volunteer fire department. The village also hosts an annual community festival called "The West Winfield Dairy Festival," which celebrates the village's dairy industry and agricultural heritage.
