New Miami, Ohio is a small village with a population of just over 2,200 people. It was originally settled in the late 1700s and was initially called Venice, Ohio. The village was renamed New Miami in the 1800s when the Miami Canal was built through the area. The canal was built to connect Cincinnati with the Great Lakes, and New Miami became an important shipping and transportation center.

Today, New Miami is mostly a residential community, with some light industry and commercial businesses. The village is home to several parks and recreation areas, including the Hamilton-Fairfield Bike Trail which runs through the area. The village also has an annual parade and festival called the New Miami River Days, which celebrates the community's history and culture.
