The village of Tuscarawas, Ohio has a population of around 1,000 people and is located along the Tuscarawas River. It was founded in 1825 and was originally known as New Salem. The village is home to historic buildings including the Tuscarawas United Methodist Church which was built in 1848 and the Roswell S. Kidder House that was constructed in 1868. The village also has a community park with a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and picnic areas.
