Hiram is a village located in Portage County, Ohio, which is primarily known for being the home of Hiram College, a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1850. The village itself has a population of around 1,200 people and is situated in a rural area of northeastern Ohio. Additionally, Hiram is known for its historic district, which features a number of well-preserved 19th-century buildings, including the James A. Garfield National Historic Site.
