The village of Nevada, Ohio has a population of around 750 people as per the 2010 United States Census. The village was founded in 1853 and was named after the Nevada Territory by early settlers who had traveled to California during the Gold Rush. Nevada, Ohio is home to two churches: the Nevada United Methodist Church and St. Bernard's Catholic Church. The village also has a public park called "Wyandot County Fairgrounds" which is used for events and festivals.
