Choctaw is a city located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area and is situated about 13 miles east of downtown Oklahoma City. As of 2021, the population of Choctaw is estimated to be around 12,000 people.
One of the interesting things about Choctaw is that it was originally a small farming community and only became a city in 1967. Today, it is a growing community with a small-town feel, and it has a mix of residential and commercial areas.
Choctaw is relatively close to a number of popular attractions in the Oklahoma City area, including the Oklahoma City Zoo, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and the Oklahoma State Capitol.
