Having been born and raised in Eugene, Joel is proud to serve the community of Portland and the surrounding areas as a Native Oregonian. Schooled at the University of Oregon and the Universitaet Freiburg in Germany, Joel saw the changing world first hand as he witnessed the Reunification of the two Germanies in Berlin. Add to that the honor of being blessed by the Pope and the humor of being a 'Wheel of Fortune' contestant, and you've got quite a character. Joel was also recently the featured Realtor in two episodes of HGTV's "My First Place."After college he saw life take him to the wonderful island of Maui, to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, and finally, to his future resting place: Portland. He truly loves it here. It is his home.
Joel is a Principal Broker and member of the National Association of Realtors, Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors and the Oregon Association of Realtors. He has achieved his designation as an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), is a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designee and the coveted CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation, held by only 3% of Realtors nationwide. He is a Diamond-Platinum Member of the Masters Circle, having sold over 130,000,000 million in real estate. Joel is consistently in the Top 3% - Top 10% of all Portland Metro Area real estate agents and has been named a 5-Star Real Estate Professional in Portland Monthly Magazine every year since its inception. He is also a member of the Portland Area Business Association, Montavilla/East Tabor Business Association, the University of Oregon Alumni Association, Duck Athletic Fund, BRO, Screen Actors Guild and HRC. Joel volunteers for the American Cancer Society, Relay 4 Life and for local hospice organizations. He donates happily and proudly to Our House, the Oregon Food Bank, Portland Rescue Mission, the Oregon Zoo, Cascade Aids Project, Project Helping Hands, Donate Life, Dress For Success, and the Children's Relief Nursery.
