- Mount Angel is a small town with a population of around 3,500.
- The town is known for its annual Oktoberfest, which is one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations in the United States. It typically draws over 350,000 visitors over the course of its four-day run.
- Mount Angel is also known for its Benedictine monastery, Mount Angel Abbey, which is located on a hill overlooking the town. The abbey was founded in 1882 and is home to around 50 monks.
