Like so many in the 1980s, I was drawn to the Columbia River Gorge because of the wind. But I soon discovered the deeper connections this beautiful place would hold for me.
Growing up on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota, agriculture holds a dear place in my heart. Between the beauty of the Gorge, the abundance of recreational opportunities, and the expansive agriculture, I knew right away that I would call this lovely place home.
In 1990 I was married on the courthouse lawn in front of dear friends and the family I found in this welcoming community. I raised three amazing children here, and cannot think of a better place to have done so. From the recreational opportunities they have enjoyed, to the exceptional schools they attended, this entire community has contributed to their successes as young adults, and I will be forever grateful.

My real estate journey began when we bought our first fixer-upper in the heights of Hood River back in the late 80s, and continued to a small blueberry farm on the Westside, and now to a private oasis in the upper Hood River Valley. Each step has given me new experiences with local builders, agricultural and farm-use designations, the art of buying and selling real estate, and all that goes with home ownership.
