Diane became a realtor in 1997. She moved to downtown Portland in 1996 and was fascinated with the urban growth going on at the center of the city. She watched as the first condos in the Pearl District were constructed and she has since sold condos in over 30 different condo associations. She lived in the Portland Plaza on 5th Avenue, built in 1973, for ten years and at Riverplace Condominiums for 6 years..
Diane has done all but the dissertation in sociology and worked as a research assistant in Stockholm, Sweden for 18 years. She likes to understand the numbers and the lifestyles of people in the many diverse neighborhoods of Portland. She has extensive experience remodeling both a house from top to bottom and two condos.
Meeting new people and making new friends is a passion and gives meaning to her most exciting job. She is a huge jazz fan having been married to an internationally reknown bassist, Red Mitchell. Working to promote his legacy is a lifelong task. Her music website can be found at www.redmitchellwww.
