Here are a few historical events that occurred near Hillsboro, Oregon:
1. In 1850, a treaty was signed between Native American tribes and the United States government at the Tualatin Plains Indian Treaty Council. This treaty was significant because it essentially opened up the land in and around the Hillsboro area to settlers.
2. The Oregon Electric Railway began operating in 1908, providing transportation between Portland and towns in the Willamette Valley, including Hillsboro. The railroad was an important development for the region, making it easier for people and goods to move between cities and towns.
