As a business owner in the Sewickley area for over 38 years I have had the good fortune to grow within the community and surrounding areas by word of mouth referrals. Fifteen years ago I added a career in Real Estate to my resume. It has been an interesting journey assisting buyers and sellers in what is often one of the biggest decisions in their lives. It is a process of listening, thinking and effectively communicating knowledge of the market and the buying/selling process that is sometimes difficult to understand and equally accept. Sellers often think that their property is worth much more than what the market bears. Buyers can be on the defense and don't want to pay for a neglected home or one with deferred maintenance. My ability to mediate terms that are acceptable to both parties has been influential in my success. Paying attention to details and responding in a timely manner helps to maintain a steady flow of referred business.
IF you are looking for an agent with multiple listings to prove their track record or one with a "team" of professionals that is not me. I find it advantageous to work one on one to gain a true understanding of what my clients want and need and how to work within the American dream.
