Davis R. Chant is the Founder and Chairman of Davis R. Chant Realtors, the largest independent real estate company in Northeastern Pennsylvania, founded in 1964, which includes the operation of five regional real estate offices and two branch office locations that service the Hudson Valley of New York, Northern New Jersey, and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Davis R. Chant Realtors opened its first office in the John Kurtz building across from the courthouse on Broad Street in Milford, Pennsylvania in 1964 and over the last 54 years, the Chant firm has been the leader in Northeastern Pennsylvania, selling commercial property including shopping centers, land for shopping centers, office buildings, existing major resorts and sites for the construction of new resorts along with over 20 large development sites for residential development. Some of the large residential projects have been developed into over 1,000 residential sites per development.
Davis R. Chant has been active in the National Association of Realtors in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey as well as been an active member of each states own Association. He has also been active in regional and Tri-state Economic Development groups.
Davis R. Chant was the co-founder of the Pike Wayne Board of Realtors in 1973 and, as well, has been the President of that Association three different years.
Milford, Pennsylvania has been the home base of Davis R. Chant since he started his real estate career over a half century ago and during the 50+ years since Davis R. Chant Realtors was founded in 1964, Dave has been active in county, regional and state economic development work on a pro-bono basis as well as established similar relationships in New York, New Jersey and other states.
Dave is still a seven-day-a-week real estate Broker/Consultant and loves the challenges and the tremendous opportunities that real estate investments offer in the 2019 real estate market.
Dave is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and over the last 58 years has attended real estate courses, classes and consulting learning experiences in the United States and worldwide.
Dave has been an active member of community organizations particularly in Pike County, as well as in all of Northeastern Pennsylvania for over a half century. His base of operations is still 106 East Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337.
