My name is Matthew Smoot and I specialize in assisting buyers, sellers, investors, and renters throughout Baltimore County, Harford County, Cecil County, Anne Arundel County, and Baltimore City including, but not limited totheneighborhoods of Perry Hall Farms, Honeygo Village, Southfield of White Marsh, Devonshire, Deer Spring, Moore's Meadows, Forge Landing, Fallsbrooke Manor, Monmouth Meadows, Singer Woods, Canton, Todd Lakes, and Glen Angus to name a few.
I was born in Maryland and have been a resident of Harford County for the past thirty-eight years where I was raised on a farm in the Forest Hill area. I graduated from John Carroll High School of Bel Air in 2002 and afterwards attended Harford Community College (HCC) also of Bel Air where I earned my Associate's Degree in the fields of Political Science and History and earned a seat in the National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, in 2004.
After completing two years at HCC I pursued the remainder of my undergraduate degree at Towson University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in 2006. Afterwards, Iimmediately re-enrolled at Towson University, in order to pursue my Master's Degree in the Social Science program. Also in 2006 I decided to join, Home Selling Assistance Platinum, and became a licensed Real Estate Agent. Later I acquired my new real estate company, Exit Realty Express, in January 2011 and partnered up with the already successful Exit Preferred Realty brokerage where I was team leader ofTheExit Express Team.
In July of 2011 I successfully completed my broker's course at the prestigious Frederick Academy of Real Estate where I earned my real estate broker's license, which is the highest and most specialized license a Realtor can hold throughout the state of Maryland. Obtaining my broker's license has furthered my career in real estate and allows me to represent each and every client to the highest degree. Knowledge is key to any professional's success and obtaining this license has provided me with the utmost comprehension to facilitate any real estate transaction.
In December of 2022, I joined Realty Plus Associates located in Forest Hill, which is a brokerage that focuses on training their agents to the fullest extent, in order to make sure that each and every one of our clients is represented to the highest degree in every transaction that we are involved in. The office also offers the most advanced-technology out there to its agents, in order to ensure that our clients are always getting the best deal out there---whether they are buying or selling.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, taking care of my pets, traveling, and meeting new people.
