Carla Cottrell moved to New Smyrna beach seven years ago from just north of Tampa when her husband, Reverend Peter Cottrell, was asked to become the pastor at Coronado Community Church. Carla was serving as an assistant principal in Pasco County, and, with the move, came an opportunity to pursue a new and exciting career in real estate!

Born in historic Saint Augustine, Carla is a 6th generation Minorcan Floridian. Upon moving to NSB, she realized her natural affinity for the area and was thrilled to find her ancestors names in the New Smyrna Museum of History.

Carla joined EXP Realty to work with a team that is second to none! In her free time, she enjoys working with various missions, playing with her precious grandchildren, reading, walking her dog at Smyrna Dunes, cooking, and camping and traveling with her husband.

Carla was the recipient of the New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors 2017 Rising Star Award, and she received the President's Award and the Silver Pinnacle Award from Watson Realty Central Region. She has served on the Board of Directors for the New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors, and she is currently the President Elect of the Women's Council of Realtors Daytona Beach Area. Carla's certifications include RSPS.
Grateful for the adventure life and real estate brings, Carla is eager to help people and use her gift of teaching to make every transaction smooth!

Carla specializes in first time home buyers, vacation homes, single family and vacant land transactions.
