Sharon is a city in Mercer County, Pennsylvania with a population of approximately 13,000 people. It is located on the Shenango River and was originally founded as a center for steel production. The city is home to a number of historical sites and landmarks, including the original home of the Quaker inventor, David Danner. Sharon is also known for its annual WaterFire event, which features an outdoor art and music festival on the river. Additionally, the city has a number of parks and recreational areas, including Buhl Park, which features a golf course, nature trails, and a free zoo.
