Casey Dougherty, Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Select Professionals, has been a licensed Realtor since 1980. Originally licensed in New York and the Broker/Owner of A Place to Call Home Realty on Long Island, she is currently licensed to serve buyers and sellers in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Casey believes strongly in education and holds several designations. She earned the GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) and CRS (Council of Residential Specialists) designations in less than a year. She also holds the E-PRO (Certification for Internet Professionalism), CBR (Certified Buyer Representative) and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Professional). In addition, she has been trained as a Military Market Specialist, a Global Relocation Specialist, and a specialist in historic real estate through the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Realizing the importance of a properly staged home, Casey took courses in order to earn the ASP designation, Accredited Staging Professional Realtor, in order to better serve her clients.

Ms. Dougherty also believes in giving back to her community and to her profession. She has served on the Board of Directors for both the Realtors Association of York and Adams Counties (RAYAC) and the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors (PAR). She is currently the Vice President of the RAYAC Foundation which oversees the raising and distribution of funds to area non-profit agencies such as Habitat for Humanity. In addition, she serves on several RAYAC committees including being appointed to the Leadership Development Committee and the Professional Standards Committees.

Involved in the community in a variety of ways, Casey is currently very active as a volunteer for the Gettysburg Foundation as a docent at the Spangler Farm and the Rupp House and at the Members Services Desk in the Visitors Center. Recently, she began researching and writing the The Great Task Before Us: Devoted to Telling the Stories of the Soldiers, Sailors, and Civilians of the Civil War blog for the Foundation website.

Casey has three sons and three granddaughters and lives in Gettysburg. She has a degree in Journalism from Pace University and has worked as a Strategic Planner for a Wall Street Bank and owned a marketing company on Long Island. She is an avid photographer and a published writer. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in Living History events and conducting school history programs and lecturing on the role of women in the 1860s.
