Armstrong County is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, about 40 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. As of the 2010 census, the population was 68,941. The racial makeup of the county was 96.6% White, 0.8% Black or African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.4% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.9% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.
