Harveys Lake is a small borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It is named after the natural glacial lake that is located within the borough's boundaries, Harveys Lake. The lake is one of the largest natural lakes in Pennsylvania and is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and other recreational activities.
The village of Harveys Lake was originally settled in the late 18th century, but it wasn't until the late 1800s that it became a popular resort destination for people from nearby cities such as Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. Today, Harveys Lake is a quiet residential community with a small downtown area that features a few shops, restaurants, and bars.
