Topton is a small borough with a population of around 2,000 people. It was founded in 1854 and is known for its historic architecture, including numerous Victorian homes and several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The community is home to several parks and outdoor recreational areas, including Topton Community Park and the nearby Deer Lake. Topton is also home to the Brandywine Heights Area School District and the Topton Volunteer Fire Company.
