Biglerville is a small borough in Adams County, located in south-central Pennsylvania. The village has a population of just over 1,200 people. The town dates back to the late 18th century and was originally called "Mechanicsburg". It was later changed to Biglerville in honor of Johann Peter Bilgler, a prominent resident and founder of the town.
The town is known for its apple orchards and is often referred to as the "Apple Capital" of Adams County. It hosts an annual National Apple Harvest Festival which brings in thousands of visitors every year to enjoy everything from apple butter to apple pie.
Biglerville is also home to the Gettysburg National Military Park, which commemorates one of the most significant battles of the American Civil War. Visitors can explore the battlefield and experience the history of the area.
