Scotland, Pennsylvania is a small borough located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The town was established in the early 1700s and was originally known as New Scotland. The name was changed to Scotland in 1829. The town is best known for its Scottish heritage and traditions, and it celebrates its Scottish heritage each year with its annual Scottish Festival. The festival features a traditional Scottish parade, live music, Scottish games, and Scottish food and drink. Scotland is also famous for being the setting of the cult classic film "Scotland, PA," a comedic retelling of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" set in a fast-food restaurant.
