Coatesville is a city with a rich history located in the southeast region of Pennsylvania. It was initially established as a town in 1787 and was incorporated as a city in 1915. Coatesville was known for its industrial steel production in the 20th century and was an important manufacturing center for the United States during World War II. The city is also the birthplace of actress Katharine Hepburn. Today, Coatesville is home to a diverse population and has a number of beautiful parks and recreation areas.
