Ford City, Pennsylvania is a small borough with a population of about 2,800 residents. The village was founded in 1887 and was named after John B. Ford, who was the President of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company (PPG). At one point, PPG had a large presence in the village, and many of the residents worked for the company. Today, Ford City is home to several small businesses and has a strong sense of community pride. The village hosts several events throughout the year, including the Ford City Summerfest and Christmas in the Park. Additionally, the village is home to the Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation's Ford City Health and Wellness Center.
