York Haven is a small borough located in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated along the Susquehanna River, and has a population of around 700 people, according to the latest estimates.
The village was originally settled by the Susquehannock people, and was later incorporated as a borough in 1864. York Haven played an important role in the American Civil War, serving as a base for Union troops and as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Today, York Haven is known for its small-town atmosphere, scenic river views, and outdoor recreational opportunities. The area is popular for boating, fishing, and hiking, with several nearby parks and nature preserves. Despite its small size, York Haven boasts a number of local businesses, shops, and restaurants, as well as a community center and public library.
