Columbus is a small village located in southwestern Warren County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The village has a population of around 140 people, and it is situated near the Allegheny National Forest.
Columbus was first settled in 1810 by George and Comfort Lewis, who named the village after the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. The main industries in the village during the 19th century were logging and the production of hemlock bark. A post office was established in Columbus in 1835.
Today, Columbus is a quiet community surrounded by forests, hills, and streams, and it is a popular destination for outdoor recreation. The village is home to a community center and a volunteer fire department. There are also several nearby attractions, including Chapman State Park, Tidioute Overlook, and the Allegheny River.
