Sykesville is a small village located along the eastern border of Jefferson County in Pennsylvania. It was named after its founder, Dr. John Sykes, who settled there in the early 19th century. One of the notable attractions in Sykesville is the Sykesville Ag and Youth Fair, which has been held annually since 1956 and features agricultural exhibits, carnival rides, and live entertainment. The village also has a community park with walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. With a population of around 1,200 people, Sykesville offers a quiet and peaceful setting for residents and visitors alike.
