Curwensville is a small borough located in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1851 and named after the prominent Curwen family. The town was initially a hub for transportation, with the West Branch of the Susquehanna River flowing through the area and a number of railroads passing through. Today, agriculture and small businesses are the main economic drivers of Curwensville. The community is known for its annual Apple Festival, featuring local vendors, crafts, and live music. Additionally, the Curwensville Lake provides recreational opportunities such as fishing and boating.
