1. Blacksburg is home to the Kings Mountain National Military Park, which is a site where a historic battle of the American Revolution took place. The park preserves the memory of the soldiers who fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain.

2. The School House No. 18, which is located in Blacksburg, is one of the last remaining one-room schoolhouses in the state. It was built in 1909 and served as a school for African American children until it closed in 1932. It now stands as a historic landmark.
