Living in an area rich in history and ripe with new growth is exciting and thats exactly what my family was looking for in 2011 when we were given the opportunity to leave a suburb of Baltimore to relocate to the Charlotte area and we havent been sorry a day since we moved into our home. Charlotte and its surrounding areas have so much to offer people of all ages and lifestyles and its my honor as an Allen Tate Realtor to be able to help clients find their perfect place to call home.
A native Floridian and high school English teacher, I found my way to a sales career in Maryland after my future mother-in-law met me at her daughters back-to-school night and thought I would be a perfect match for her oldest son who lived in Maryland. We met that summer, married a year later and I moved to Maryland where we spent 14 years and moved three times for my career. After adopting our second daughter from China, we were given the opportunity to move to Charlotte so I could take a position in Marketing.
Turns out my mother-in-law isnt just good at matchmaking because she was sure Id be an outstanding real estate agent and tried to get me to join her team in Maryland almost 10 years ago. I guess she saw my passion for helping others realize their home ownership dreams even when I didnt.
Whether its working with a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor or a homeowner wanting to sell their home, my 25+ years of experience in education, sales and marketing make me uniquely qualified to provide my clients with the knowledge and skill necessary to navigate the home selling and buying experiences with ease. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients excited after a successful transaction is completed.
When Im not busy with clients, you might find me enjoying the festivals in our beautiful hometown of Waxhaw, enjoying local restaurants and bars especially when my husbands band is playing, seeing off broadway shows uptown or taking the kids to play at the many local parks and greenways.
