My wife and I started vacationing on Sunset Beach in the late 1970s. For many years, we vacationed in this corner of paradise and dreamed of someday retiring in this area. Over the years we have owned rental property on the island and in 2015 we moved here permanently. That dream became a reality for us and it can for you as well. This area truly is a wonderful place to not only vacation, but to live permanently. The winters are mild and the warm ocean breezes make our summers so enjoyable.

I grew up in a small town about 40 minutes west of Charlotte in a family with ties to real estate. My father was a successful home contractor and operated his own real estate company. Both of my sisters have also been involved in real estate. Music was a huge part of my life and I chose to pursue a career in education. My college degrees are in music education from Appalachian State University and LSU and I served as a middle and high school band director for over 23 years before moving into school administration. My wife, also an educator, and I chose to live in North Carolina and raise our four children in this wonderful state. Our children grew up vacationing in Sunset Beach and now our grandchildren are having that same experience. They love coming to visit Nana and PawPaw at the beach!
