It was 1971 when I became a resident of the Grand Strand area of Coastal South Carolina. Through the years I have seen tremendous growth in our area, but despite the many changes, I still enjoy the things that have remained the same... the sound of the waves against the shore, the smell of pluff mud at low tide, the sight of the white egret, flying slowly to roost at sunset... and the friendly people that are blessed to live in this portion of paradise.
