A seasoned professional, Margaret has played a leading role in Charleston's real estate market as it has grown from "the old days" to today's vibrant international hot spot. She has earned a loyal following with her extensive knowledge of the area, her record of success, and her market savvy. The quintessential professional, she is famous for her zealous dedication to her clients, and she uses her negotiating skills to their distinct advantage. Clients love the high priority she puts on good communication and responsiveness. The majority of her business is past clients and referrals but Margaret still loves working with new clients, including young people. She runs a fine tuned business operation with an extensive list of impressive transactionsand youll find her network of connections to be astounding and invaluable.

Consistently a top producer and member of the Realtors of Distinction, Margaret is highly respected by her peers and has been a long time member of the Professional Standards Grievance Committee as well as the Hearing Panel for the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. Both Committees deal with ethics violations and arbitration. She now serves on the Professional Standards Hearing Panel for South Carolina Realtors, the umbrella organization for member boards throughout the State.

A native of the Lowcountry, Margaret has lived in Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa and Boston. Boston driving particularly exhilarated Margaret and she loved the city. She was a member of The Vincent Club, performing in many of their musical productions, and of The Junior League of Boston. Margaret served for years on the Board of The Women of the Church at The Church of The Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, MA, where she also taught Sunday School and served on the Compassion Committee. At The Somerset Club, where her husband was a member, Margaret served on The Entertainment Committee. At The Country Club Margaret often played tennis and shot skeet.

In 1989 Margaret, Richard, and their two young children returned to South Carolina and in 1991 Margaret wanted a cell phone so she became a Realtor. She quickly soared to the top and the next years of success are history, as they say.

In Charleston, Margaret has served on the Boards of Hospice of Charleston, Charleston Day School, and The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of South Carolina. She created their newsletter, The Palmetto Post, and also served as Editor of their National Organization's Patriotic Services Newsletter. For three years Margaret was the Head of The Powder Magazine, the oldest municipal building in the South and possibly in the nation - c.1713. Under her leadership The Powder Magazine went from being a part-time tourist attraction to a premiere full time operation with a gift shop and stellar state wide educational programs. Margaret also has been a docent at The Gibbes Museum of Art, and is a member of The South Carolina Historical Society, The Charlestowne Neighborhood Association, and The Preservation Society of Charleston. She currently serves on the Board of The Heyward Family Association.

Margaret and her husband Richard have lived in the Historic District and Mt. Pleasant and are members of St. Philip's Church
