Born on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Marty grew up the son of a professional horse trainer and rodeo cowboy attending five different grammar schools and two high schools in three states. Early in life Marty felt that his calling was radio broadcasting, and thence enjoyed a 20-year tenure (full and part time) as a Morning Show DJ, Program Director, and Advertising Executive. Leaving broadcasting in 2000 for a new career in real estate, Marty became involved in many aspects of the business including commercial real estate & business brokerage, residential sales, was Sales Manager at his former firm, and property management. He holds the designation of GRI (Graduate of the Realtors Institute) and serves as an executive officer of the Black Hills Association of Realtors. A father of three grown children and grandfather of eight, Marty still competes in rodeos and roping events with his father and son, attends church at Christ Church, plays golf, and has a good time as much as he can!
